SRSLY is partnering with St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea and the Community Mental Health Partnership of Southeast Michigan to lead free “Guiding Good Choices” parent workshops this fall!
These workshops help parents with communication, bonding, managing conflict, and setting rules & boundaries.

Parents, guardians and/or grandparents are welcome to attend. The program works best with caregivers who have a child between the ages of 9-14, but is open to anyone. The workshop includes 5 sessions, held for 2 hours once a week.
Sept. 25 – Session 1: Planning a Family Meeting
Oct. 2 – Session 2: Developing Healthy Beliefs & Clear Standards
Oct. 9 – Session 3: Refusal Skills for Youth
Oct. 16 – Session 4: Managing Conflict
Oct. 23 – Session 5: Strengthening Family Bonds* (might be moved to a different date)
This program is evidence based, and is proven to reduce youth substance abuse and other problematic behaviors. There is no charge to attend the workshops, and childcare is available upon request.
